MASS TRANSPORT ARRIVES IN LASaturday, 10/01 9:00PM ETBetty Muise and her nephew arrived at Broken Down
Dogs Shelter in Alexandria, LA last night. They also happened to bring with them the biggest single load of supplies Janet has ever seen!
The two volunteers drove a polo horse trailer filled with supplies such as dog and cat food, kitty litter, food bowls, collars, leashes, shampoo, flea and tick medication, dog crates, towels, heartworm pills, toys, and newspapers. These supplies were generously donated by the people of the North Shore area in Massachusetts.
The two volunteers will spend the week at Broken Down Dogs Shelter helping Janet take care of the animals. On Friday, they will be heading back to New England with some dogs. The animals are scheduled to arrive in NH on Sunday, October 9. Stay tuned for details.
We would like to thank the New Hampshire Humane Society in Laconia, NH and the Conway Area Humane Society in Conway, NH for their enormous help in this transport.
Please note that unfortunately, these dogs cannot be brought into Massachusetts because of the emergency order enacted by the state on September 22, 2005.
