Those of you who looked at the
Vermont slide show
saw Bruno, the emaciated tan and white pit bull that was close to death.
We are happy to report that Mike, Bruno's foster dad, told us that Bruno is doing better.
Mike reports that Bruno has made incredible progress this week. He
writes that
on Sunday "Bruno was feeling so happy he trotted a little (by
accident), he's
been following me around the house, he watches me a lot with bright
eyes, head
held high and tail wagging. What a difference a week full of medical
help,
love, good food and lots of rest can make!!!"
Bruno started heartworm treatment yesterday. It will be touch-and-go
for a few
days and after that he has to stay quiet for five or six weeks.
Unfortunately,
his lung congestion has gotten worse through the week, his breathing is
labored
and coughs up blood a lot. Luckily he is young and stronger now to help
recovery.
Thanks to Mike for caring for this sweet guy!
