We are back in New Orleans rescuing animals. Heidi Poor, a core volunteer with Project Starfish, arrived in New Orleans last night to do what she can to help the thousands of animals still in dire need. You may remember Heidi as being one of the volunteers at Broken Down Dogs Shelter in Alexandria, LA. This time, she is heading into New Orleans itself. She felt she had to do whatever she could to help the many animals that are starving to death on the streets of this hurricane-ravaged city. During her stay, Heidi will be working with the Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO). This is one of the few recovery missions still remaining in LA.
